Young Scientists in Junior Infants ❄️

Pupils in Junior Infants created two icy friends – Freddy Frost and Sammy Snowflake- during the recent cold weather. They then set up an experiment to see which would melt first – Freddy Frost outdoors or Sammy Snowflake indoors. They discovered that Freddy survived a long time outside while Sammy melted away quickly in the cosy classroom. Slán Sammy!

Their follow-up challenge was to build a tall stand-up snowman from large and small marshmallows and cocktail sticks. Who could create the tallest one? Great fun was had by all (and they were allowed to eat the marshmallows afterwards!) 😃
