Hot School Meals Programme – Coming Soon to Ennis National School

We are delighted to inform you that Ennis National School has been approved for inclusion in the Hot School Meals Programme, funded by the Department of Social Protection.

This programme will provide a hot lunch each school day to all pupils, at no cost to families. It is a welcome initiative that supports children’s health, wellbeing, and ability to learn.

Before the scheme can begin, we are required to undertake a formal tendering process to select a suitable food supplier who can meet the nutritional, safety, and operational requirements of the programme.

We expect this process to be completed over the coming months, and it is anticipated that the hot meals scheme will commence from the start of the new school year in September 2025.

Further details, including sample menus and information on dietary needs or allergy management, will be shared with you once a supplier has been confirmed.
