Bóthar
This morning Olivia and Mags from the Bóthar charity visited our school. This was as a result of our donation of €1875 in December which we raised in our annual Bring and Buy Sale for Bóthar. 5th classes traditionally run the Sale while the whole school donates books, toys, games, ornaments and home baking for the occasion.
This morning Olivia gave a little talk on the work of Bóthar and showed us slides of the animals in their new homes overseas. She had been lucky enough to visit Rwanda herself last autumn. Mr. Griffin presented the cheque on behalf of all 5th classes and the Reading Class.
