Band visit to Clarecastle Daycare Centre
Senior members of Ennis NS school band went to Clarecastle Daycare Centre on Tuesday, December 12th, to play Christmas music for the senior citizens. Our repertoire ranged from Silent Night and When a Child is Born to more lively songs such as Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. Instruments included violins, trumpet, concertinas, accordian, tin whistles, flute, guitar, ukulele and djembe.
Emily and Olivia performed two Irish dances – a light reel and a hard-shoe hornpipe. By the end of our recital, staff and clients were up dancing too! It was a lovely occasion for all the generations present and we wish everyone in the Centre a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
