All Ireland Badminton Success
!!Gold & Silver worms for the early birds!! Another great adventure comes to an end for Ennis NS with 
for the boys and 
for the girls in Baldoyle at the All Ireland Primary Schools Badminton Finals.
Having won all 6 points against teams from each of the other provinces in the group stages, our Boys Munster Champions went on to beat Mayo NS 33-27 of Laois in the quarterfinals. Adamstowns CETNS, Dublin awaited in the semifinals where the boys came out 34-25 victors. They put up a great fight at the final hurdle but were unfortunately beaten 25-42 by Scoil Iognaid of Galway.
The girls also won their group games and progressed with 6 points. They went to the quarter finals, beating Windgap NS 42-20. Up next, it was a repeat of the Munster final against Kilcredan NS in the Semi finals with Ennis NS winning 42-31. The final hosted a thrilling encounter against Scoil Bhreac Luain of Annascaul, where Ennis NS won 42-30 and were crowned All Ireland Primary Schools Champions.
Both boys and girls showed wonderful, fluent badminton skills, teamwork and sportsmanship which stayed with them throughout the entire day.
Congratulations to all schools involved and to Badminton Ireland for running a great the event. Most importantly, the children have great memories made, experienced gained and should be very proud of the hard work they have put in over the past few years at ENS & with Ennis Smash Badminton gold medals 
We had a fabulous celebration in our school hall for both teams on Thursday.
