Visit to An Post depot
Last week the Reading Class were invited to visit the An Post depot in Ennis. Conan’s dad works there.
Darragh’ s mom and Conan’s mom drove us to the depot. We saw the trucks, vans, a vending machine and a sensor to see if they were working or not.
We saw the workstations where the post is sorted. There are 44 postmen working from the depot. Some people come and collect their post in person. Most of their business nowadays is parcels. People don’t send many letters any more.
The names of the people who were there that day are Christy, Ann and Kevin.They were all very kind to us. Christy is in charge of the depot.
They are very serious about health and safety. Nobody has ever broken in to the depot.
