Tennis Team in Munster Final
On Monday May 21st, Ennis National School played against Scoil Naisunta An Chroi Naofa today in Bishopstown Lawn Tennis Club, in wet and miserable conditions. Mia, Conan, Aoife, David, Caoimhe and Callum, did our school proud on in the way each of them played their hearts out on court. After some thrilling matches which left the score 2 games a piece, Ennis National school narrowly lost the “Super set” tie breaker 6 – 4 to become runners up in the Munster primary schools Cup final. Not only did the children take home beautifully engraved Munster medals but also an experience of very competitive tennis for this young team and a mighty hunger to come back next year to win! Special thanks to Danny Comerford again for his huge commitment to this team and the vested interest he has shown all involved. School’s tennis coordinator Shelley, should also be recognised for her time and commitment to each of these children along this route. A big thank you to all and very well done !
