● Finalising school uniform – questions from parent body regarding need to finalise
school uniform (pinafore? skirt?) before the new school year alongside the need to
update the school website on the same matter.
● Volunteer appreciation gathering – 14th June, 8pm, Temple Gate Hotel.
● PA Committee events – Shayla stated that she had received positive feedback from
multiple people who said they appreciated the work, information, and transparency
provided by the PA.
● Christmas cards – a note that Christmas cards for ENS pupils were not a preferred
fundraising activity by the school leadership
● Cash record sheet- Shayla introduced a new system to keep track of funds at events
(to be trialled at quiz night).
● Account balance – Noelle presented the committee members with the balance
present in the PA account.

3. Feedback from communion:
● Food – plan for extra food next year.
● Goody bags – a success
● Cups – need to invest in more cups!
● Idea floated to shift 1st class involvement to 3rd class instead, as 3rd class would have
had a communion experience, making it easier for 3rd class parents to volunteer with
confidence.
❖ Concern raised that the above move would mean that parents would go
through 4 years of school before helping out at a school event.
❖ Suggestion that both 1st and 3rd year parents volunteer.

4. Feedback from internet safety session:
● 35 parents were in attendance
● Aim to carry on having this presentation organized every 2-3 years

5. Creative schools and PA:
● We have not heard back from them on our ideas.

6. 6th class graduation:
● June 27th evening
● 85 students to graduate
● Suggestion agreed by all to only serve refreshments after ceremony to keep it
earnest
● Goody bags will be offered when students exit stage.
● Eileen to order cake/balloons
● 5th class parents will be requested to donate food

● Shayla shared the roster with committee members and added their names to rota
● Briefed games that would be available on the day.
● Stick-on tattoos ordered, suggested we all take a few sheets to cut up at home.

8. Back to school reception:
● August 28th, 8.30am- 9.30am.
● volunteers requested
● plan to have our new welcome packages available for that

9. Welcome package update:
● Final draft with Mr. McInerney for approval prior to printing.

10. Activities directory update:
● While the excel sheet is by no means exhaustive, it is ready to be shared with
parents.
● A discussion ensued as to the best method of sharing the said information.
● 2 committee members offered to work the excel sheet into a user-friendly website.
They are to update Activity Directory subcommittee in a week
