Infant Classes: 8.50am – 1.45pm

First to Sixth Classes: 8.50am – 2.45pm

Children are requested to arrive at school by 8.50 am. School doors are open from 8.30am. The Board of Management accept no responsibility for pupils arriving before that time. School Car Park is reserved for drop off and pick up of Junior Infants, Senior Infants, Sunshine Classes, 1st and 2nd class children only. Parents/Guardians of older children are requested to drop off and pick up at a meeting point away from the school car park. Older children are strongly recommended to avail of Walking Bus.

On arrival to school, all children should go to their playground. Parents/Guardians will not be allowed to accompany them into the school. Infants will be met at the entrance to the Infant Playground and welcomed to school by a staff member.

Collection: Pupils in Junior and Senior Infants are collected at 1:45pm from their playground. Teachers will bring their classes to the playground for collection by parents/guardians/nominated persons. We would ask parents/guardians to wait until their child is called by the teacher to ensure a safe handover of the child.

Children from 1st class to 6th class will exit through their allocated doors.

Pupils will not be allowed to leave the school during the school day. If a child has to be collected early, the parent should let the class teacher know through email: info@ennins.ie and wait in the front foyer while the child makes their way down from the classroom. Alternatively, use the Aladdin app –  ‘Login to Aladdin Connect, click on ‘Attendance Notes’, click on ‘My Child Will Be Collected Early’, input details and click ‘send’. This handy feature on Aladdin Connect can also be used to notify the school of children arriving late to school or for logging absent days.

Breaktimes: There is a fifteen minute break at 10.45am and a forty minute break at 12.30pm. Pupils are given time to eat their lunches at their desks before being allowed out to play. In general pupils are not allowed to remain indoors during playtime. Food is not allowed on the yards during breaktimes

Parent Contribution

We are very conscious in the school of collecting money for various items. For convenience, we have included a number of items with the Parents’ Contribution. For 2024/2025 the suggested payment will be for €40 for all pupils (Maximum of €120 per family) to include the following items: Pupil Personal Accident Insurance €8; Photocopying Expenses €15; Art Supplies and Materials €17
